Despite going extinct thousands of years ago, mammoths are still making headlines. In the past few months, scientists and genetic engineers have reported some fascinating new discoveries about these giant creatures, shedding light on their evolution and extinction. It will not take you years to get to Miami Dade County, it is just an hour south of Palm Beach County. In celebration of the recent opening of the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science’s newest exhibition, Mammoths: Ice Age Giants the museum is sharing cutting-edge technologies are giving insight to ancient animals.

Did you know that the location of the Frost Museum’s Biscayne bayfront real estate with wonderful bayfront views would have been more than eleven miles inland over 10,000 years ago? During the last Ice Age, an increase in global ice cover meant that what is today Biscayne Bay was dry land.
