The popular teppanyaki restaurant, Benihana, has locations all over the country- but the closest ones to Palm Beach County were in Stuart and Coral Springs, up until last week. The corporation finally opened a sleek-looking new freestanding restaurant in Boca Raton so we can now enjoy dinner and a show right here in town.

The new location is 8,000 square-feet with 21 teppanyaki tables. (Teppanyaki tables are communal dining tables that have teppan grills on one side so you can watch the chefs make your plate fresh. The chefs put on a fun little show while you're watching them cook, doing things like making onion volcanoes and shaping the food into fun designs). There's also a separate 30-seat full bar with the same menu just no show.

The new Benihana is open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m.-10 p.m., Friday 11 a.m.-11 p.m., Saturday noon-11 p.m. and Sunday noon-9:30 p.m. Check it out during happy hour on a weekday from 4-7 p.m.

9918 Glades Rd., Boca Raton.
