The newest addition of incredible mom-and-pop restaurants in the area, Tequesta Café opened on the corner of U.S. 1 and Waterway Road in Tequesta where Corner Café used to be.

The owner, Michael Wolford, is a doctor at the VA Hospital in West Palm Beach, but he has put an enormous amount of energy and pride into crafting the atmosphere and unique breakfast and lunch items at Tequesta Café.

Wolford speaks very highly of his kitchen staff and has decorated the walls with 1950’s photos of the Tequesta area. His menu items vary from breakfast items like crab cake eggs benedict and a bagel with lox piled high, to lunch items like a flavorful lobster role or a club sandwich with a fried egg and garlic mayo.

The owner isn’t the only one who puts his heart into Tequesta Café.

“I just love this place,” Manager Natalie Bystrom said. “It means a lot to me.”

Tequesta Cafe is located at 289 US-1 in Tequesta, Florida, and is open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. It’s closed on Tuesday, open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
