Palm Beach County's newest art collective, music venue and barbeque spot are known as The Peach.  The building complex is located at 3950 Georgia Avenue in West Palm Beach.  The name was inspired by its home street Georgia, think of a Georgia peach.  The venue opened this weekend.

The Peach is a brand-new art collective is in what was an auto paint and body shop. So, what is an art collective? According to Wikipedia, “An artist collective is an initiative that is the result of a group of artists working together, usually under their own management, towards shared aims. The aims of an artist collective can include almost anything that is relevant to the needs of the artist; this can range from purchasing bulk materials, sharing equipment, space, or materials, to following shared ideologies, aesthetic and political views or even living and working together as an extended family. Sharing of ownership, risk, benefits, and status is implied, as opposed to other, more common business structures with an explicit hierarchy of ownership such as an association or a company.”

In addition to live music and art, collective will feature the grand opening of Troy's Barbecue at The Peach.  The idea behind Troy's new location was to create a Wynwood-type experience where patrons and people can enjoy excellent barbequed food in an enjoyable and chill setting. Troy’s Barbeque is the same as the original Boynton Beach eatery.  The West Palm Beach will be home to a Sunday brunch on the first Sunday of the month. Troy’s Barbeque at The Peach will offer inside and al fresco dining.
