Palm Beach County Dominates Golf Digest's List of Top Golf Courses in Florida
It's no surpirse that Florida is the Capital of golf in the United States. The weather allows year round play and the course are some of the finest in the world. Look no further than the amount of professional golfers that either call Florida home, or their home away from home.
So if Florida is the Capital of golf, South Florida is arguably its largest constituant.
It's no surprise then, that when it comes to top golf courses in Florida, South Florida has some of the finest in the state.
Don't just take my word for it, look no further than the fine people at Golf Digest. In their list of the top golf courses in the state of Florida, six of the top 15 are located in Palm Beach County.
Seminole Golf Club, in Juno Beach, sits at the top spot once again and for good reason. On top of being one of the most exclusive clubs not just in Florida but in the entire country, it is also one of the oldest. The Donald Ross designed course opened in 1929 and will open its doors in 2021 when the Walker Cup will be held on the property.
Jupiter Hills in Tequesta comes in at number five, while The Bear's Club in Jupiter comes in at number eight.
The Bears Club, designed and created by Jack Nicklaus, is either the home to or the home course of some of the top golfers on both the PGA and European Tour's, including Ernie Els, Luke Donald, Rory Mcllroy, Michelle Wie, and Brooks Koepka.
Also found in the top 15 is Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach (#11), McArthur Golf Club in Hobe Sound (#12), and Pine Tree Golf Club in Boynton Beach (#15).
