Palm Beach Gardens resident R.J. Nakashian shot a 4-under 68 in Sunday’s Final round to win the ninth annual Bobby Bryant Mid-Seniors Championship.

Nakashian birdied five of his first seven holes Sunday to extend the two shot lead he started the day with. He went on to post a two day total of 9-under to win the event being held at The Wanerers Club in Wellington by five strokes.

It was the 17th Palm Beach County Golf Association Title of his career and the second of the 2013 season, winning the Stroke Play Classic in May. This was Nakashian’s second Mid-Seniors Championship. He also won the event in 2008.

Steve Anderson of Hobe Sound shot a Sunday 70 to finish second. The 2010 Mid-Seniors champion had an eagle on the par 5 17th hole to finish with a two day total of 4-under par.

The tournament honors the memory of Bobby Bryant, Hall of Fame member, former PBCGA president and rules official who died in 2003. For more information on the Palm Beach County Golf Association and its upcoming events visit
