Palm Beaches Holiday Spirit – Downtown WPB
Get into the holiday spirit this weekend with a holiday tradition in the Palm Beaches. Good cheer returns Saturday, November 10, 2018 with the annual holiday tree lighting. A cold snap is expected (wink, wink) and first "snowfall" of the season is anticipated. CityPlace, the shopping and dining district in the downtown area of West Palm Beach, will be hosting the event. Celebrations begin at 3:00pm and the spectacular tree lighting will commence at 6:00pm.
Seasonal celebrations will begin with performances by Precision Dance Conservatory, Jupiter Dance Academy and the Palm Beach Symphony. Punctually at 6:00pm, Dance South Florida will present “Home for the Holidays,”. It’s an enormous holiday presentation not to be missed! It will surely get you in the holiday spirit.
The snow might not be real, and the ice rink might be “ice-less,” nevertheless, the fun of a winter wonderland at CityPlace is 100 percent sincere. CityPlace transforms into a tropical winter wonderland each year, and the nightly “Snowfalls” on the Plaza is part of the Downtown West Palm Beach tradition. Skating starts on Black Friday (November 25) and lasts until Sunday, December 4.
Catch the illumination of the 40-foot holiday tree and the season’s first snow flurries. Remarks by City of West Palm Beach Mayor, Jeri Muoio, will be given and WPBF anchor, Erin Guy, will host the event. For more information, please visit www.cityplace.com/holidays.
