The 6th Annual Plein Air Festival is coming up this Saturday at The Lighthouse Art Center. For those unfamiliar for “Plein Air” art, it is a French expression which means “in the open air,” and is used to describe the act of painting outdoors.

This juried event is a premier gathering, the largest of its kind in South Florida. The Festival awards over $15,000 in prizes and 35 of the top plein air painters in the country participate. The judge for 2019 is our Grand Prize Winner of the 5th Annual Plein Air Event, Jeff Markowsky.

With articles in publications and advertisements in issues of the national publications, Plein Air Magazine & Fine Art Connoisseur Magazine, and in Florida Coast Magazine, there will be ample opportunities for sponsors to be recognized.  The public can observe artists painting at locations in Palm Beach and Martin Counties, then view and have the opportunity to purchase the wet paintings later at the ArtCenter Gallery.  There will be artist’s demos and workshops, as well as a special ticketed VIP Collectors’ Reception.
