Rory Mcllroy to Wed Longtime Girlfriend

While Rory Mcllroy struggled to win on the golf course in 2013, the Palm Beach Gardens resident might have already claimed the biggest win of 2014 just two days into the new year.

That's because on Tuesday, the Bears Club member and former world number one, proposed to longtime girlfiend and tennis star Caroline Wozniakci. Mcllroy proposed to Wozniacki while the couple was in Syndey, Australia where the tennis star was prepparing for the Australian Open.

Mcllroy and Wozniacki first began dating in the summer of 2011, shortly after Mcllroy won his first major at the U.S. Open. During the course of their relationship, they have each achieved the number one world ranking in their respective sports. Entering 2014, Wozniacki sits 10th in the WTA rankings while Mcllroy is currently sixth in the World Golf Rankings.

Mcllroy will make his 2014 debut January 16-19 in the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship.
