RUN 4 THE SEA 2016! Celebrating Ocean Conservation and Endangered Sea Turtles!
Loggerhead Marinelife Center is an education and ocean conservation facility located in Palm Beach County, Florida. It is one of Florida’s most unique non-profit cultural destinations which focuses on ocean and sea turtle conservation. Loggerhead Marinelife Center exhibits include a massive prehistoric Archelon sea turtle replica, salt water aquarium and displays of local wildlife, as well as educational displays about South Florida’s marine environment.
Loggerhead Marinelife Center’s 5th annual Run 4 The Sea will be held in Juno Beach along the Atlantic Ocean and A1A and celebrates ocean conservation and endangered sea turtles. The event features a fun one-mile run for children and a four-mile run for adults, as well as a post-race celebration with music and breakfast.
The race proceeds benefit Loggerhead Marinelife Center’s mission to promote conservation of Florida’s coastal ecosystems with a special focus on threatened and endangered sea turtles.
The start and finish line is located on Ocean drive directly adjacent to the Loggerhead Marinelife Center.
The 4-mile race starts at 7:00 a.m.
The Kid’s Run 1-mile begins at 8:15 a.m.
Awards will be handed out following the Kid’s Run.
Packet pickup for the race will be on June 15th and June 16th, from 11am-5pm, then on race morning starting at 6:15 a.m.
Parking will be available at Loggerhead Park. There will be traffic attendants guiding vehicles to the parking areas. Overflow parking and shuttle is available at Juno Beach Pier Park.
Loggerhead Marinelife Center is located in Loggerhead Park in Juno Beach, just north of Donald Ross Road on U.S. Highway 1. The park is situated between U.S. 1 and Alt. A1A and has direct public beach access and free parking.
