The Florida home of the Scripps Research Institute is located at 130 Scripps Way, Jupiter on the campus of South Florida's Florida Atlantic University Honors College. The Scripps Research Institute (TSRI) is one of the world's largest, private, non-profit research organization It is a non-profit biomedical research and education facility.   The main institute is headquartered in San Diego, California.  The Scripps Institute in home to over 3,000 scientists, technicians, graduate students and administrative staff and other staff making it one of the largest non-profit biomedical research institutes in the world.

Scripps Florida focus on basic biomedical research and drug discovery. Researchers using the latest cutting-edge technologies, focus on basic biomedical research and drug discovery. More than 600 full-time faculty members, scientific, technical, and administrative staff work at the 350,000-square-foot campus, which is comprised of three state-of-the-art research buildings.  Much of the work at Scripps Florida is dedicated to basic biomedical research, which is a dynamic section of medicinal exploration that tries to decrypt the fundamental developments of life. 

Many of our family members, loved ones, and friends have affected by diabetes, heart disease, stroke, Parkinson, and/or Alzheimer’s.   Scripps discoveries in medical research: 

• Humira® for rheumatoid arthritis and other autoimmune diseases
• Surfaxin® for infant respiratory distress syndrome
• Leustatin® for hairy cell leukemia
• Benlysta® for lupus
• Factor VIII for hemophilia
• Vyndaqel® for TTR-FAP
• Cyramza® for gastric and non-small cell lung cancer
• Unituxin™ for the childhood cancer neuroblastoma.

It is so wonderful to hear some of that research is being done so close to home.
