Six Local Golfers Advance to Qualifying School Finals

Six golfers from northern Palm Beach County survived the second stage of the PGA Tour's qualifying school and will now advance to the Q-School finals in December.

Dan Berger, Ryan Armour, and Derek Fathauer of Jupiter, Sunny Kim and Kevin Johnson of Palm Beach Gardens, and Jon Curran of Tequesta all advanced from their respective qualifying spots last week and will now move on to the Q-School finals in California.

Berger, Curran, Kim, and Armour advanced from the Plantation qualifier, while Fathauer and Johnson advanced from the Brooksville qualifier. The Finals take place in La Quinta, California December 12th through the 17th and will be held at PGA West's Nicklaus Tournament Course and TPC Stadium Course.

While all golfers that advanced to the Final round will recieve status on the Web.com Tour for the 2014 season, the contestants will be playing for priority on the 2014 excemption list. The winner of the Final Stage will be fully excempt on the Web.com Tour in 2014.
