There are a variety of restaurants from which to choose in Abacoa Town Center. Copacabana Cuban, located on Main Street, is a family owned and operated establishment featuring a tropical atmosphere and delicious Cuban and Caribbean cuisine. Patrons enjoy such delectable meals as Cuban-style Carne Asada, pork chops, Cuban sandwiches, and fries. Drink-wise, the bar offers mojitos and strawberry Caipirinhas. One of the highlights of Copacabana Cuban is the open mic night every Thursday at 8pm. There is also live music and dancing on Friday, with Latin Jazz on Saturday nights. A dominoes league also meets at 2pm Sundays.
Rated “Excellent” by Zagat, Jumby Bay Island Grill can found at 1203 Town Center Drive, Ste. 101. It is open 10:30am to 2am every day of the week and features signature dishes and an island ambiance. Enjoy inside or outside patio seating, as well as live music from Wednesday to Saturday and Kids Eat Free Monday through Thursday. The bar features 2 for 1 Cocktails all day every day, including premier liquors, and is a Florida State Seminole Game Watching Spot, displaying all FSU games on each one of their HD TVs with full audio.
Rooney’s Public House, situated at 1153 Town Center Drive, offers Irish fare. It is open Monday through Thursday from 11am to 12am, Friday and Saturday from 11am to 2am, and Sunday from 11am to 12am. Hot menu items include corned beef and cabbage, fish and chips, and many soups from which to choose.
JJ Muggs Stadium Grill, located at 1203 Town Center Drive, offers good ol’ fashioned burgers and chicken, in addition to a large menu including appetizers, wings, pizza, soups, salads, hot dogs, and more. Dogs are welcome on the outdoor patio, and kids eat free Monday through Thursday with the purchase of an adult meal. JJ Muggs also shows every major league baseball game and is an official Gator Watch location.
