Southeast Florida and BP thank you “Local Heroes”
Southeast Floridians are all grateful for the medical workers who are risking their lives to treat people during the coronavirus pandemic. BP Petroleum is another corporation helping the heroes on the front lines. The oil producer and convenience store operator will provide up to $2 million in free coffee, fountain drink or hot dogs and fuel discounts to first responders, nurses, doctors and hospital staff as they fight to help communities healthy and safe.
BP is offering a 50-cent discount off each gallon of gasoline to local heroes. All that is required is to register. Southeast Florida local heroes are distinguished as first responders and health care workers. After signing up, the following time they fill up at any BP or Amoco gas station (anywhere in the U.S.).
BP released the following statement, “Thank you for being on the front lines and keeping our communities healthy and safe. We are honored to be supporting you and helping you get where you need to go."
To obtain the discount, first responders and health care workers can visit bp.com/localheroes website. They will verify their identity through the website ID.Me and will then receive a discount code via text or email that they can enter at the gas pump.
Discount codes will be offered until April 30 or until a "maximum value of one million dollars in cents per gallon discounts is reached," BP said.
Thank you, first responders and medical workers, (as well as BP)!
