One of the best things about Stuart is that there are always things to do and new waterfront restaurants to try.  With plentiful waterways, attractive homes and natural scenery, Stuart is a buried treasure.  In addition to being known as the Sailfish Capital of the World, Stuart is also listed as one of the “Top Ten Beach Towns in Florida” by the Huffington Post.

Below are 3 Martin County local waterfront cafes and watering holes.  They all have interior and al fresco seating on the waterfront. Stop in at one of these restaurants for a taste of what it's like to live in this area. The Stuart area has a mix of historic and new downtown areas

The Twisted Tuna, 4290 SE Salerno Road, Stuart, is a big, flashy, and lively restaurant. Featuring two stories, multiple bars, and access by foot or by boat, it's busy from corner to corner. There are live bands every day inside and out. The restaurant/bar has a downstairs out-of-doors bar with a view, and a fashionable dining room on the second floor. This place is always eventful and if that's what you like, you're sure to have a good time. They have delicious appetizers, an oyster & sushi bar, and coal fired brick oven pizza. Patrons claim it's the best spot around for stone crab and gator bites.

Sailor's Return located at 625 South West Anchorage Way, Stuart can be found right under the Roosevelt bridge. This lively, casually elegant restaurant fits its name. Located next to a yacht sales marina, enjoy views of beautiful boats from mega tri-decks to sleek catamarans. Pull your boat right up to the restaurant and tie up at the 930 feet of courtesy docking. With a polished inside, romantic open-air seating with magnificent sunset views. It's a perfect place for a date night on Valentine’s Day.  Enjoy the live music on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Wednesday night is Lobster night and Thursday night is Prime Rib. Fan favorites include crab cakes, eggplant stack, chicken cordon bleu, and citrus orange cake for dessert.

Conchy Joe's Seafood, 3945 NE Indian River Drive, Jensen Beach is one of the best in Martin County. Conchy Joe’s is a popular for its laid-back feel, great happy hour, and weekly events. Every Wednesday, for example, is hermit crab racing- which is both entertaining and enjoyable to watch. Thursday through Monday catch live reggae music. The atmosphere is always relaxed and elated all while taking in the beautiful views of the Jensen Beach Causeway. Patrons say Conchy Joe's has the best burgers in town, great chowder, fish, and sweet treats.
