Over the past decade, microbreweries have become incredibly popular in the Palm Beaches. For those of you who love beer, here are three of our favorites.

Due South

With more than 20 beers available, Due South Brewing Co. taps range from award-winning favorites to brews with unexpected flavor combos. Due South is an independent, Veteran-owned, craft brewery with beer in 1000+ stores, bars and restaurants from Tampa to Key West. Every beer they make is proudly brewed right here in Southeast Florida. The brewery is housed in a large 27,000 square foot warehouse where dozens of beers are produced throughout the year on a 15BBL brew system.

Barrel of Monks

With Fall weather here, now is the perfect time to enjoy the many rooftop bars and restaurants in the Palm Beaches. Here are a few of our favorites.

RH Rooftop

RH Rooftop Restaurant is a lovely four-story Restoration Hardware “mansion” on Okeechobee Boulevard in West Palm Beach which peers at the city of West Palm.

Since 2017, The Butcher Shop Beer Garden & Grill, 209 6th Street, West Palm Beach, has quickly become a staple to downtown. It is in a historical building which was once an old airplane hangar. This restaurant is home to a three-part concept featuring a retail butcher shop, a full-service dining area and a German-style beer garden with local beers, wine and artisanal cocktails.  The Butcher Shop and Beer Garden has been named one the "10 Best New Restaurants in the Palm Beaches".

The West Palm Brewery & Wine Vault, just two streets over from Clematis, is a place for beer and wine connoisseurs to enjoy in-house fermented beer, wine and delicious food.

The whole concept of this brewery is based on interaction. You can see the sealed fermentation tanks in the room behind the bartenders and you'll also notice chefs making food cooked to order from their original menu of small plates. This bar food isn't second-rate that's for sure; it's raved over by customers, as you can see from these Yelp reviews. The menu includes small pizzas, Charcuterie boards, Bavarian pretzels, sliders, wings and more.

The West Palm Beach Brewery and Wine Vault is hosting its third Polish Craft Beer and Polka Block Party this Saturday on Evernia Street.

This is a great event if you are looking for something to do before dinner on Saturday night or if you just want to enjoy some beer and good music.

The West Palm Beach Brewery and Wine Vault offers craft beer which is made on-premise by Head Brewer Joel Kodner. The brewery’s built from scratch, state of the art production facility and fermentation room is visible from The Long Bar, the city's longest indoor bar and its wine vault offers limited production, premium California wine that you won't find anywhere else.

Mathews Brewing Co. was opened in 2018 by David Mathews, a 55-year-old West Palm Beach local who ditched his career in civil engineering to follow his dream of opening a brewery. Mathews is a USF graduate with a degree in engineering and worked in the field full-time while also spending 23 years brewing beer out of his garage at his home in Boynton Beach and then in West Palm Beach for the past 10 years. 

He says his new state-of-the-art brewery is a dream come true. It has an open concept so you can see the operations that'd normally be behind the scenes.
