Tucked away in a tiny plaza across from the Loggerhead Marinelife Center is a wonderful little café worth trying. Portofino Bistro Mediterraneo is located at 891 Donald Ross Road, in Juno Beach. Going to a place for the first time can be daunting. Portofino Bistro Mediterraneo blows away your expectations with delicious cuisine and very welcoming staff.

The bistro has a bountiful menu. It is such a pleasant experience. The lighting is lovely, the bar enticing, and the table linens and table settings are inviting. However, the aroma of fine cuisine being cooked to perfection. The prices are very reasonable, and they feature an extensive wine list.

The Bistro in Jupiter is a neighborhood place. It is first-class and upscale inside, but not stuffy. If you know The Palm Beach Grill or Mark’s at CityPlace, you know the feel - crisp napkins, polished glassware, lively bar, white tablecloths, crescent shaped booths that are deeply cushioned and cozy, the murmur of happy diners in the background but not loud.

While perusing the menu and sampling the warm fresh sunflower seed-studded rolls served in a linen lined basket. A long ceramic dish with chicken liver pate, fresh cool butter, and herb and garlic seasoned olive oil accompanied the rolls. The menu is indeed bursting with bistro fare and the prices are reasonable and the quality is impressive.
