One-hundred children from low-income homes were surprised with new bicycles during a very special event on Christmas Eve. Cold temperatures were not enough to keep children from picking out their gifts in a 21-year-tradition in which Realtor Rob Thomson, of Waterfront Properties and Club Communities, of Jupiter, has played Santa.

Santa’s Reindeer are hiding across the Fairchild Tropical Botanical Garden in Miami. They are hosting a Reindeer Round-Up now through January 1, 2022. Miami is just an hour south of Palm Beach County located at 10901 Old Cutler Road, Miami. The reindeer are soaking up as much “fun in the sun” as possible before heading back to the North Pole for the big night! Kids are requested to help to find them!

Santa’s reindeer love to play, so be on the lookout for their collars to help you find their hiding spots. This is a family, fun event. Bring the entire family, from the young to young-at-heart. The reindeer roundup is until January 1, 2023. It takes place daily: 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Display in Delray runs December 30 revolves around 100-foot lighted & decorated tree. Walk through the tree for an exhibit of vignettes representing iconic venues in Delray.  The fun is at Old School Square, 51 N. The 28th Annual Palm Beach Holiday Boat Parade and 23rd Annual Toy Drive benefiting Toys for Tots and Little Smiles. The event is presented by the Marine Industries Association of Palm Beach County (MIAPBC) and gifts to the community, in 2022. The Palm Beach Holiday Boat Parade kicks off the holiday season on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at The Holiday Boat. The parade begins at 6 p.m. and arrives in Jupiter at approximately 8 p.m.

Judging is based on three main factors: lights, enthusiasm, and themed decor. There are thousands of dollars worth of prizes to be given away to the top three boats in each category! Whether you forget an ingredient for the Christmas meal, need a last-minute gift, or want to go out to eat, your options will be limited Saturday as it is Christmas Day. The majority of stores in Palm Beach County will stay closed for Christmas Day.

While all hope is not lost, the mileage may vary on how far you will have to travel for any forgotten items. Most Walgreens and CVS locations will be open along with several convenience stores including 7-Eleven, Wawa, and Cumberland Farms.

If you are looking to grab a snack or a meal on Christmas Day, most national restaurant chains like Chili’s, Taco Bell, and Chick-fil-A are closed, but many Starbucks, McDonald's, IHOP, Denny’s, Waffle House, and Dunkin' locations will be open.
