The Town of Jupiter is inviting kids to a glowing event. Grab your glow-in-the-dark gear for this impressive glow-in-the-dark Easter Egg indoor hunt for prizes and candy. The Town of Jupiter is upping its Easter egg hunt game.

The first 1,500 participants will receive goodie bags and entry into an Easter basket contest. To participate in the Jupiter Community Center egg hunt children must register in advance. Sign-in will open at 6:30 pm and the Easter Egg hunts will start at 7:00 pm.

Ages: 5 and under 

Hippity Hop Egg Hunt for bunnies ages 5 and under will enjoy a morning full of games, crafts, a special visit from the Easter Bunny, and an egg hunt just for them!

The Easter bunny will no doubt visit the Port St. Lucie with the all the Easter egg hunts scheduled.  Did you ever wonder why colored eggs, why a fabled bunny?  It is believed by many that the Easter bunny first arrived in the U.S. in the 1700’s. German immigrants who settled in Pennsylvania and brought their tradition of an egg-laying hare called “Osterhase” or “Oschter Haws.” The children made nests in which it could lay its colored eggs. The tradition scattered around America and the mythical rabbit’s Easter morning deliveries grew to include chocolate and other types of candy and gifts. The decorated baskets replaced nests.
