LagoonFest 2022 falls on November 5, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Flagler Drive, overlooking the estuary. The Lake Worth Lagoon is not only in Lake Worth, it is a 20-mile-long urban estuary, where beauty is above and below the watermark. It travels along thirteen cities in Palm Beach County from North Palm Beach to West Palm Beach to Boynton Beach. The lagoon is a waterway in which you can go diving, kayaking, boating, fishing, birdwatching, or sip a cocktail at one of the fantastic waterfront restaurants. There are also inlets leading to the Atlantic Ocean from the lagoon. 

The scenic Lake Worth Lagoon is on display at LagoonFest in West Palm Beach. Entry is FREE. The event includes a waterway debris pick-up via kayaks and paddleboards.…

It may be ready to break out the pumpkins and fall jackets in a lot of the U.S. but here in South Florida, our summer weather continues to roll on! Instead of hayrides and apple orchards, why not fire up the boat head out on water for a weekend at the Sandbar. Here are three of our favorites to consider:

Stuart/Hutchinson Island:

The Stuart sandbar is located just inside the St. Lucie Inlet, and just east of the convergence of the St. Lucie River and Indian River Lagoon. The closest boat ramp is Sandsprit Park. You can rent boats at the Sundance Marina in Jensen Beach. There is also excellent fishing and snorkeling in the area, which is known as the “sailfish flats.”

Do your kids like sea turtles, Florida wildlife and fun? Then you will want to bring them to The 3rd Annual Lagoon Fest at the Lake Worth Lagoon in Lake Worth, this weekend! 

At Lagoon Fest kids will enjoy a summer camp style festival complete with live music, wildlife creatures your kids can see and touch up close, competitions, water sports, games and more. They will even get a chance to meet “Luna” the sea turtle mascot of the Loggerhead Marinelife Center.
