The first "Friends of Jupiter Beach" beach cleanup is slated for this Saturday January 15th from 8:00 A.M.  to 10:00 A.M. at Ocean Cay Park in Jupiter. Volunteers and supporters of the environment are invited to meet at the Anita Lankler Pavilion. The beach cleanup helps maintain our beaches for generations to come. For more information visit the FJB Facebook page. The volunteers will clean a 2 1/2 mile stretch from the Juno Beach Pier to the southern edge of Carlin Park. The specified crossovers are at 22-59.

When you arrive at Ocean Cay Park:

-        Sign in and get a lottery ticket for a chance to win a thank-you prize.

-        Grab provided gloves, grabbers, and small bags.

-        Join a team.

We’ve all heard stories about nurses treating coronavirus patients sewing their own masks as such materials have become scarce.  Have you ever thought, “I’m not a doctor or nurse, but what I can do”? Palm Beach County residents can help health care providers now!

The West Palm Beach based non-profit organization, Volunteers of the Palm Beaches, are actively assisting the local community by suppling more than 1,000 hand-made protective face masks to local health care professionals who are in desperate need of them.

In order to fulfill the demand, the organization needs donations of the needed supplies. Supplies can be dropped off at Grandview Public Market , located at 1401 Clare Ave. in West Palm Beach, Monday through Saturday between 10 a.m.
