Take a Trip to Yesteryear
With the cool weather finally here, it's the perfect time to visit Yesteryear! Yesteryear Village is a fully replicated model of what life was like between 1895 and 1940. The town is on 9 acres and includes a an old school house, a farm, a blacksmith shop, general store, and houses. It also has the only big band museum in the United States, the Sally Bennett Big Band Hall of Fame Museum.
Walking through the Yesteryear gates is like going back in time. A time when people had goats, sheep, and chickens in their backyards, one-room school houses, and no running water. Explore the village and hear townspeople tell you about their daily life before 1940. Ask them any questions you'd like and take the opportunity to learn some history. Stop in the general shop and see the merchandise showcasing early Florida.
