The beloved boating extravaganza in Stuart, known as the Sailfish Regatta is coming to town. The weekend of the Sailfish Regatta is a weekend jam-packed with intense boat races. The races feature an array of different boats from powerboats to hydroplanes and the winners of the races take home some serious “bragging rights” and some great prizes.

The Sailfish Regatta has become synonymous with adrenaline, gorgeous weather, beautiful boats and a great weekend for family fun. The races take place on the Stuart Causeway on a 1.1-mile oval racecourse that has been built on the northern side of the bridge. This year, the regatta is even bigger and features a bigger and better venue that can accommodate more guests, vendors and race associated parties. Regatta officials say that visitors can expect an improved layout with more live music, more events and more fun.

Every year the American Power Boat Association for safe racing and fun sanctions the Sailfish Regatta Race. There are ten different classes of inboards, four classes of outboards and the “Powerboat P1 Super-Stock Series” are the type of race classes participants may register under. Some of the nation's top-tier racers plus a power team of 12 or more Canadian Grand Prix race boats will bring even more adrenaline pumping action to the water.

The 2016 Stuart Sailfish Regatta is taking place on May 21st and 22nd from 9:30am to 4:30pm. For more information about this year’s race please visit: Stuart Sailfish Regatta
