Sons & Daughters Farm and Winery in Lake Worth is more like a dreamland than a farm. The 17-acre plantation includes rows of trees, gardens, patios covered in string lights, wooden stage areas, small farm animals, and an all-over ambiance of a pastel vintage getaway. It was named #1 on New Times list of Top 10 Farms in Palm Beach County for reasons you will see when you get there.

The farm was created after a commercial nursery was decimated after a series of hurricanes in 2005. Teal Pfiefer and David Bick spent years re-nurturing the land with fresh soil, turning it into an organic farm free of chemicals. The couple then began planting crops that would thrive in the climate naturally, without any preservatives or need for harmful farming techniques. One of these plants was the Hibiscus, which became the farm's chosen source for wine. The wine turned into a favorite among local farmers and quickly spread by word-of-mouth around town and eventually even to celebrities. From there, Pfiefer and Bick turned the venture into a full-time job in 2013, creating other homemade products and customizing the ranch.

To appeal to those who prefer a non-alcoholic beverage, the farm recently started brewing Kombucha, a fermented black tea known for copious health benefits that is frequently consumed in Europe and Asia. The cool thing about the wine and kombucha make at Sons & Daughters is they are everchanging flavors based on the seasons. "What we grow is what you drink," as they like to say. The common wine is their famous hibiscus, honey wine, and rose. Kombucha brews can include banana, mulberry, moringa, olive, and more. The farm also sells their eggs, plants, backed goods, sunflower seeds, and soap all freshly made.

Besides organic fruits and veggies, you can also find specialty crops at the farm like Moringa and rice. They are always hosting unique events and also do monthly full moon farm tours and live music every weekend with resident chef Oliver Frost. There's so much more to Sons & Daughters than just being coined as a farm. Founders Pfiefer and Blick say the best part of this adventure so far has been their "ability to create a culture of community, love, and cooperation." Come see for yourself what makes this place truly special!
