Best Palm Beach County Fishing Charters in 2019

Palm Beach County is one of the fishing capitals of the world for good reason. The Gulf Stream, a warm and swift Atlantic Ocean current that originates in the Gulf of Mexico, is closest to land near Palm Beach and Jupiter Inlet, providing abundant amounts of pelagic fish species as close as ¼ mile offshore.

If you don’t have a boat of your own, we have compiled this list of friendly local fishing charters for your convenience. The main target species in our area are mahi-mahi, kingfish, wahoo, tuna, sailfish, snook, snapper, grouper, and tripletail. Swordfish charters are also available for a pricier fee since a lot more specialty knowledge and work goes into a successful trip.

Charter services and accommodations vary widely, so hopefully this guide helps narrow down your choice. Most charter trips include everything you need to fish except for optional live bait, food, drinks, and gratuities. If you're lucky, a charter captain may decide to throw in live bait, but this is very rare. If they do, remember to tip a little extra for their trouble. Catching live bait isn't easy, and buying it from bait fisherman isn't cheap.

Be sure to tip your captain and crew if you have a great experience! As with any service, customary tip is 15-20% added to the total price of the charter. We hope you have an opportunity to explore our area and see why this is one of the best fishing destinations in the world.
