Located in the famous Old School Square of Delray Beach is the Cornell Art Museum. Proclaimed to be as “young and hip” as the celebrated Wynwood Gallery in Miami by Delray Beach Magazine, the Cornell Museum is one of the top spots you must visit in Delray Beach.

Located in the restored 1913 Delray Elementary building, the museum is a surprisingly entertaining spot in Delray. The outside appearance of the museum hints at what lies inside with its vibrant banners. The art exhibits at Cornell Museum rotate every three to four months and offer contemporary and cutting edge works by regional, national and internationally acclaimed artists.

The first floor houses two large galleries, a Museum Store featuring hand crafted art, decor and jewelry by 50 area artists, and the Angelique Tea Room, which is used for classes, receptions and other special events. The second floor, accessible by two grand staircases or an elevator, has three exhibition galleries and the children’s interactive gallery.

The Cornell Art Museum is located to the south of the Crest Theatre building, and is connected to the Crest Theatre building’s Ocean Breeze Room and portico by a covered loggia.
