The Sandoway Discovery Center in Delray Beach gives visitors a look into South Florida's marine environments through educational exhibits and programs.

Visitors of all ages can get a close up view of Florida's native and invasive reptile species, see sharks and other marine life at the coral reef pool, explore Southeast Florida's largest private shell collection, and participate in events like beach clean ups. The center also has an observation deck, library, and plant and butterfly garden. All of these resources help guests learn about and enjoy Florida's unique coastal environment.

The architectural details of the nature center are also impressions of early beach-front Florida living. From the open air porch, Dade County pine floors, Bald Cypress ceilings, French doors and arched window on the staircase, you'll feel as if you were in a home out of Delray's history.

Sandoway Discovery Center's activities include daily shark feedings, twice a week alligator feedings, programs for at-risk kids, group education programs and tours, beach and dune walks, garden walks, live animal exhibits, fossil digs and more. Come visit this awesome center and learn about Delray's marine ecosystems and natural history.
