These Floridian Hot Spots Named “Most Mentioned Places” on Facebook for 2015!

One of the, if not the biggest name in social media, Facebook, released a list of the “most mentioned places” on their site. The media juggernaut that is Facebook said that amongst the most mentioned places on Facebook included Theme parks, landmarks and national parks. The list includes an account of the top 20 places people around the world who have Facebook have talked about the most during 2015. 

Whether you are a local Floridian or have only traveled to the “Sunshine State” you know the popularity of the Disney and Universal theme parks. Among the top 20 list of places mist mentioned on Facebook in 2015, the Disney Theme Parks took the top spot. The second most mentioned place on Facebook is the Universal Studios Theme Parks. These Floridian hot spots took the top spots ahead of Times Square in New York City, the Eiffel Tower in Paris, Niagara Falls and Siam Paragon Shopping Mall in Bangkok, Thailand to name a few. 

From Palm Beach County cities like Jupiter, North Palm and Palm Beach Gardens the Disney Theme Parks and the Universal Studios Theme Parks are only a 2.5 hour drive away. From Miami around a 3.5 hour drive, so they are the perfect place to get away for a fun weekend with the family or with friends and you can be a kid again!

When doing the research for these lists, Facebook stated that, “The posts were analyzed in an aggregated, anonymized way, and then ranked to create a snapshot of the year on Facebook.”
