Opened in 1979, Antonio’s has been a local favorite family-run restaurant in Dania Beach. The atmosphere is overall low key and relaxing, while classic and modern Italian staples are served. The staff is known for being friendly and informative, and one of the main food items that customers rave about are the delicious garlic rolls. Other favorites include calamari, chicken tetrazzini, veal Sicilian, the Meatballs, wings, tiramisu, and zeppolis. Antonio’s is closed Monday and open from 11am-10pm Tuesday through Thursday, 11am-11pm on Friday, 12pm-11pm Saturday, and 3pm to 10pm Sunday.
International Game Fish Association Hall of Fame & Museum
The International Game Fish Association Hall of Fame & Museum spans 60,000 square feet and features sportfishing information, exhibits, educational classes, fishing demonstrations, interactive displays, and more. The moment you enter, it is as though you are immersed in underwater life and surrounded by different varieties of fish, the largest being a 2,664 lb great white shark caught in Australian in 1959. The E.K. Harry Library of Fishes currently contains over 15,000 books, as well as 150 outdoor and fishing magazines from countries all over the world, making it the most comprehensive recreational fishing compilation in the world.
Dania Jai Alai Casino
The Dania Jai Alai Casino is an exciting opportunity to watch the fascinating sport of jai alai while taking your chances on making (or losing) a few bucks. John U. Lloyd Beach State Park
The John U. Lloyd Beach State Park is a quiet destination in the otherwise busy area of South Florida. For a reasonable price of $6, visitors have all-day access to the beach, which extends the length of the park, and fishing. Multiple restrooms are available, as well as picnic tables with grilles, perfect for a fun barbeque with friends and family. On a Saturday afternoon, the cruise ships leaving Port Everglades are visible from a meandering boardwalk on the north end of the park, which makes a fun and interesting sight to see. There is also a pier from which to fish and watch the beautiful waves, and visitors love the amount of parking that is available. Also, if you like canoeing, this is a great place to do it!
