1. HOT RODS FATHER’S DAY CAR SHOW
The 4th Annual Mizner Park Downtown Drive Car Show is on tap for noon to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Mizner Park Amphitheater, 327 Plaza Real, Boca Raton. The display of vehicles will include antiques, classics, street rods, custom builds, racecars, sports cars, imports, hand-built cars and one-of-a-kind autos dating to the 1900s. A concert featuring the FAU Summer Concert Band, will follow at the amphitheater from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Admission is free, but you can make a donation to Make-A-Wish Southern Florida, which grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions. 2. CONSERVATION FOR MEET GUY HARVEY
Renowned marine wildlife artist, conservationist and scientist Guy Harvey will be at Bealls store locations in Jupiter and Vero Beach this weekend. He will be at the store in Jupiter, 59 N. U.S. 1, from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and in Vero, 5900 20th St., from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday. Harvey will donate $1 from each item sold in Jupiter to the River Center-Loxahatchee District and the same amount from each item sold in Vero to the Environmental Education Learning Center in Vero Beach. 3. MUSIC ON THE WATERFRONT
Guitarist, songwriter and producer Ottmar Liebert will be onstage 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the Meyer Amphitheatre, 104 Datura St., West Palm Beach, for the city’s free Sunday on the Waterfront series. Liebert, who has numerous gold and platinum records, was born in Cologne, Germany, to a Chinese-German father and Hungarian mother. He began playing guitar at 11, and traveled extensively through Europe and Asia absorbing each musical tradition. Bring a blanket or chair. 4. PALM BEACH PHOTOGRAPHIC CENTRE
The 18th Annual Members’ Show and annual Picture My World exhibit are open at the The Palm Beach Photographic Centre, 415 Clematis St., West Palm Beach. This year’s Members’ Show, a juried exhibit, is being judged by internationally renowned photographer Vincent Versace, a pioneer in the art and science of digital photography whose work is part of the permanent collection of the Smithsonian Institution’s Museum of American History. The Picture My World features works from disadvantaged area children. Admission is free for both exhibitions. 5. MORIKAMI SAMURAI CULTURE & PAPER SCULTURES
“Samurai Culture: Treasures of South Florida Collections” and “From A Quiet Place: The Paper Sculptures of Kyoko Hazama” are on display through Aug. 31 at the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens, 4000 Morikami Park Road, Delray Beach. Samurai Culture features samurai suits of armor and weapons fashioned during the Edo period (1600-1868). From A Quiet Place features sculptures that the artist describes as “symbolic self-portraits” made from washi, a traditional Japanese paper. Admission price varies.
