Loggerhead Marinelife Center

Loggerhead Marinelife, located in Juno Beach, is a great place to spend a few hours with the kids. Every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 3pm, there is a fish feeding, during which time children can learn about the different kinds of fish. There are also Hammock Hikes every Friday morning at 10:30, which allows children to explore through a rare coastal hammock and learn about the different kinds of birds flying about. During the months of September through May, Hatchling Tales is a storybook time for ages 0-4 that takes place every Wednesday morning at 10:30am, as well as Mommy & Me Paint every Thursday morning at 10:30.

Downtown at the Gardens

Just a short drive from Juno Beach, Downtown at the Gardens is filled with things to do with kids. Firstly, there is the carousel at the southern end, offering rides throughout the day. Also down that end is Cool Beans, which is an indoor entertainment area with a trampoline, slides, toys, and dress-up. Cool Beans also offers its own classes for specific age groups, including anything from dancing to painting. Cartoon Cuts is a great place to get the kids’ haircuts because they feature tv’s at each of the stations, which is a great way to distract kids during the process. Every Friday and Saturdays nights, there is live music, during which time a lot of kids enjoy dancing in the courtyard.

Gymboree Play & Music

Those who live in Juno Beach have the benefit of being located near a Gymboree, which offers classes for children and their parents from birth through age 5. Age-specific classes are offered, including simple Learn & Play, as well as Music and Art. For members, “open gym” times are offered throughout the week, during which time your children can simply run around and explore the indoor area. Gymboree is known for their friendly and nurturing staff, and many children develop excellent social skills, simply by taking part in the activities there. There are special events for holidays, including dress up for Halloween and easter egg hunts during Easter.

Juno Beach Pier

The Juno Beach Pier is a kid favorite, as it offers ample fishing opportunities and is dog-friendly. The Pier is known for being clean and pristine, and there is a lagoon area that is perfect for younger kids. Typically, there are many fishermen on the pier, which gives kids something to watch, including the excitement of catching a fish. The Pier is a very short drive to Juno Beach Loggerhead Turtle Preserve and Hospital. Also, parking is free, although it does cost $1 to access the pier and $4 to fish. Visitors marvel at the stunning views that can be seen from the pier’s edge.
