Things to do with Kids in Lake Worth

Lake Worth has a lot of great things to do with kids! Here are just a few:

Fun Depot

Fun Depot is a family-friendly entertainment center featuring a variety of activities for children and adults alike. One of most fun attractions is laser tag, which is played inside a 4000 square foot dark room with fog and black lights. Crawl and duck under many obstacles in order to lead your team to victory, and afterwards you can compare your stats with other team members. Go-Karts are also another favorite. Riders must be at least 6 years old and have the option to ride single, double, or junior go karts. Also enjoyable are the batting cages, where equipment is provided. There’s also an incredible arcade with tons of games.

Picasso’s Paint-Your-Own Pottery

Picasso’s Paint-Your-Own Pottery is an artistic environment where those with creative interests can come together and create original works. There is a kiln there, known as “Freddie,” that fires up your pottery once you’re done with its shaping, and the process takes a few days. Specialty colors, shapes, and glazes are provided, so prepare to let your imagination run wild. Many people love to make coffee cups for their loved ones, with different shapes and designs adorning the surfaces. Plates are also constructed, showcasing hand-drawn pictures and sayings. Picasso’s Paint-Your-Own Pottery is amazing for birthday parties for both children and adults.

Lake Worth Playhouse

The Lake Worth Playhouse is a theater venue showcasing the latest in theatrical arts. Open for 62 years, the Playhouse includes past performances such as Legally Blonde, The Odd Couple, Hairspray, Chicago, Rent, Steel Magnolias, and more, usually anything from musicals to comedies to Broadway favorites to children’s shows to international ballets. Also featured are educational programs for adults and children. In addition to the main theater, the Playhouse offers the Stonzek Theater, which shows independent and foreign films on a daily basis.

Palm Beach Skate Zone

Located just off the Florida turnpike, Palm Beach Skate Zone is the only ice and roller shaking center in South Florida. With a 75,000 square foot facility, there are two ice skating rinks, 1 roller rink, 2 snack bars, party/locker rooms, full service pro shop, and an arcade. In addition to public skating sessions, Palm Beach Skate Zone offers figure skating lessons and camps, as well as hockey classes and leagues. It’s also a great location for a fun-filled birthday party, featuring the Skate Away Café. Field trips to Palm Beach Skate Zone are also popular. Be sure to dress warm!

Adventure Mini Golf

Adventure Mini Golf, located in the heart of Lake Worth, is an 18 or 36-hole Mini Golf Course featuring a gorgeous landscape with cascading waterfalls and floating golf balls. One of the things that many visitors love is that the course is a challenge for players of all skill levels. For those who might get hungry or thirsty in the hot Florida sun, Adventure Mini Golf offers snack bars with ice cream, beer, wine, and other fresh drinks. Many visitors describe the course as well-maintained. For those with a special event coming up, there’s a party room available for corporate events and birthday parties.
