Things to do with Kids in Palm Beach Gardens
If you're like any other parent, then that means you're always looking for the next fun thing to do with your kids. Here are some examples that might get you started.
Downtown at the Gardens
Downtown at the Gardens is the perfect destination for families with kids. The Downtown Train takes kids for a fun ride around the area, and the carousel is a favorite among many. On most Friday and Saturday nights, kids love to dance to the live entertainment. Sloan’s ice cream store is a popular destination as well, offering the best ice cream and yogurts, in addition to a “magical” bathroom door that mysteriously fills with smoke when the door is shut and locked.
Gymboree Play & Learn
Located in Midtown within Palm Beach Gardens, Gymboree Play & Learn has been a family favorite for years. Classes start as early as birth through five years and give babies and young children the opportunity to interact with other children their age. Plus, it offers moms a much needed break from the everyday routine. Classes are grouped by age and children are enraptured by songs, bubbles, and of course the rainbow-colored parachute. Art and Music Classes are also offered. For those who decide to become members, Gymboree offers free “Open Gym,” during which time children are welcome to come and explore freely.
Cool Beans Indoor Playground & Café
Cool Beans is both an indoor playground and highly popular place for parties in Palm Beach Gardens. There are also a variety of classes available, as well as a gourmet café serving healthy food items. Throughout the indoor playground, there are many comfortable seats for adults, making it an enjoyable experience for everyone. It isn’t uncommon to find many adults in the café on their laptops while their children play. During the week, there will usually be a dress-up theme such as pirates, tutus, princess, or superheroes.
Saito’s Japanese Steakhouse
Located in Palm Beach Gardens, Saito’s Japanese Steakhouse is a wonderful restaurant featuring a live hibachi experience. The chefs are known to twirl their cookware, throw eggs into the air and catch them in their hats, and of course create the onion volcano, which morphs into a moving “choo choo train.” As for the food, all delicious hibachi meals include soup, salad, and shrimp. There are also a variety of appetizers, wines, and desserts from which to choose.
Build-A-Bear Workshop
Build-A-Bear Workshop is one of the favorite children’s destinations in the Gardens Mall in Palm Beach Gardens. At Build-A-Bear, there are tons of different toy animals from which to choose, and children take great pride in picking their favorite and bringing him or her to life. Once done placing a “heart” inside and stuffing their new friend, kids eagerly race to the “tubs” to give their creation a bath and brush his or her hair. Then it’s off to wardrobe, where they choose their favorite outfits. Afterwards, kids jump on the computer, where they name their new friend and a certificate of birth is printed. Friends are then placed in a new cardboard box or “home” and kids are proud of show off their new creation as they walk throughout the mall.
