'Tis the season to be merry, and Boca Raton is set to light up the night on December 16th, as the city hosts its Annual Holiday Boat Parade along the scenic Intracoastal Waterway. From 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM, witness the water come alive with dazzling displays of lights, colors, and festivity.

The parade kicks off at the C-15 Canal, transforming the water into a holly jolly procession as boats of all sizes decked out in holiday lights travel southward, concluding at the Hillsboro Blvd. Bridge. Onlookers can gather at various public viewing areas along the route, with prime spots at Red Reef Park, Wildflower Park, and Silver Palm Park. However, note that parking at Wildflower and Silver Palm Parks is limited, so plan ahead for a stress-free experience.

As the boats glide along the Intracoastal, make sure to plan your night accordingly. IMPORTANT: Be sure to note the closing times for the bridges in the UP POSITION: 6:50 PM for Spanish River, 7:20 PM for Palmetto Park, and 7:30 PM for Camino Real. These times are approximate, so make sure to grab a good viewing spot early to avoid missing any of the parade.

What adds extra excitement to the event is the competition among boat owners vying for the coveted $1000 prize in different categories: Under 25', 26' to 34', and Over 35'. The boats will not only light up the water but also compete for the title of the most creatively illuminated vessel in their respective size classes.

With only 11 days left until Christmas, do not miss out on this festive evening under the stars on the water! It is sure to turn everyone’s holiday spirit up a notch.
