Tiger Woods and back problems are as synonymous and Tiger Woods and major championships, especially over the past few years.

With four back surgeries already to his name, Tiger announced on Tuesday that he recently underwent a fifth back procedure, another microdiscectomy. That's right, Woods now has as many back operations to his name as Green Jackets in his closet.

Tiger, who won the 2019 Masters, completing one of the most compelling and improbable comebacks in sports history announced in his statement that due to the procedure he will miss the West Coast Swing, including the Farmers Insurance Open and the Genesis Invitational, and event he hosts through his charity.

While no official announcement has been made, the procedure will likely mean that Woods will miss most of, if not all of the Florida Swing as he gears up to compete in the 2021 Masters.
