Tiger Woods New Restaurant Doesn't Disappoint

Tiger Woods' new Harbourside restaurant has been open for a little over two weeks now and, so far, has been quite the success.
The Woods Jupiter is located in the heart of Harbourside, just across from Tommy Bahama and the newly opened Wyndham hotel and next to Burger Fi. It has a feel of chic restaurant, meets sports bar, meets happening night life scene.Â
Tiger has had a hands on approach every step of the way. Many times when athletes or celebrities open restaurants, all they do is slap their name on it and collect money. Not the case with Woods though.Â
Before opening, Tiger said he envisioned a place where people could meet friends, watch some sports, and enjoy a great meal. That's exactly what he has done with his new restaurant.Â
I stopped in to see for myself last Saturday night, and while I arrived after the "dinner rush" the restaurant and bar area were completely packed.
The restaurant was elegantly designed and had Woods' fingerprints all over it. The staff is head to toe in Tiger Woods Nike Golf apparel with the men wearing Tiger shirts, pants, and belts and the women wearing Nike shirts and skirts. The checks come in The Woods Jupiter Scorecards. While there weren't a lot of golf pictures around, a few of Tiger and his signature fist pump, there were definitely TVs everywhere. TVs at the bar, TVs at the booths, TVs on the patio. No matter where you were you could easily have an eye on a TV.Â
The food and drink menus had quite the variety to them. On top of the full bar, they offered a specialty drink menu. I gave the smoked old fashioned a try and it was excellent. The key was the black walnut bitters which gave it the smokey smell and flavor. It was an excellent twist on a classic drink.Â
As for the food, I kept it simple, snacking on a flatbread and the caprese salad. Both were excellent and reasonably priced. While I didn't dive into the menu too much it has something for everyone to enjoy. Bison Burgers to Ribs to lobster tails to chicken sandwiches and everything in between. The couple sitting next to me got the lobster tail and raved about how good it was.Â
More importantly than the food though, the vibe was fantastic. The place was packed and full of life. The Woods Jupiter is perfect for anything from date night to a night out with the guys or girls. In fact, while I was there, Loxahatcher River resident Ricky Fowler was out enjoying the evening with some friends.Â
I look forward to returning again and think it will be a great new spot, not just for Harbrouside, but for Jupiter and the surrounding communities.Â
