"I spoke to Arnold today and told him that I will not play in his tournament this year. I'm sorry I won't be in Orlando next week, but I know it will be a really successful event. I've put in a lot of time and work on my game and I'm making strides, but like I've said, I won't return to the PGA TOUR until my game is tournament ready and I can compete at the highest level. I hope to be ready for the Masters, and I will continue to work hard preparing for Augusta. I want to thank everyone again for their support."

The Masters starts in just 27 days and it will be hard to imagine Tiger playing in the seasons first major without getting a competitive round of golf in somewhere between now and then. However, Woods has never played either of the Texas tournaments that lead up to the Masters in his entire career and has shown no indication that he plans on starting now.

This year will mark the 10 year anniversary since his last Green Jacket and it hasn't been the start to 2015 that Woods was expecting. Woods missed the cut at the Waste Management Phoenix Open after a career high 82 in the second round. Woods then withdrew the following week from the Farmers Insurance Open because of another back injury.
