Tiger Woods won Player of the Month honors on the PGA Tour for the month of August headlined by a win and a second place finish.

The Jupiter Island resident continued his impressive run in the month of August, recording his fifth win of the season at the World Golf Championships Bridgestone Invitational and finishing runner up at The Barclays, the first event in the FedEx Cup Playoffs. It is the 10th time in his career that Woods has at least five wins in a PGA Tour season.

Woods beat out Jason Dufner who won the PGA Championship for his first major, Adam Scott who Woods finished second to at The Barclays, and Patrick Reed who won his first ever PGA Tour event at the Wyndham Championship. Tiger earned a total of 1,528 in just three events during the month.

The award was his second of the 2013 season as the Medalist member also won Player of the Month honors in March after he won both at Doral and Bay Hill.
