USA TODAY includes JUPITER BEACHES on list… TEN LEAST KNOWN FLORIDA BEACHES

The secret is out on area beaches. USA Today released a list of the “Ten Least Known Florida Beaches” and Blowing Rocks Preserve, in Hobe Sound, was on the national publications list. The list identifies these well-kept secret sanctuaries. Very few people have the luxury of having the beauty of unspoiled nature so close.
Living near a coastal preserve is perfect for nature lovers. Blowing Rocks Preserve is an environmental preserve on Jupiter Island in Hobe Sound. The Nature Conservancy owns Blowing Rocks. It contains the largest Anastasia limestone outcropping on the U.S. Atlantic coast. During extreme high tides and after winter storms, seas break against the rocks and force plumes of saltwater up through erosion holes up to 50 feet skyward. Thusly earning the name of the beach. It’s exciting!
An unspoiled sanctuary like Blowing Rocks is home to the rare loggerhead, green and leatherback sea turtles that return each season to nest. More sea turtles also return to another beautiful beach just a couple miles south in Jupiter to nest as well.
Jupiter’s miles of sandy white beaches also made the USA Today “Ten Least Known Florida Beaches”. The newspaper’s website praised Jupiter’s beaches, mentioning the stretch just north of Marcinski Road, for being one of the few beaches remaining where dogs are welcome. About a mile’s worth of the sugary white sand is allotted for the pups to play and clean up is encouraged and provided. The rest of the beach is for furless sunbathers only.
