WANT YOUR STARBUCKS DELIVERED? YOU CAN HAVE IT IN 2015!
Starbucks is taking the next big step into optimizing your coffee experience. Coffee culture is their gig and they certainly know how to do it right. 2015 will be a new year of great additions to their menus and their amenities.
Now you will be able to order your favorite pastry and coffee drink from your smart phone and have it delivered to your home or office. Starbucks Corp. plans to add delivery to certain locations in 2015 for a trial. The company is saying this move will “help combat declining traffic, as consumers shift to online shopping.” Howard Schultz, Starbucks’ chairman, president and chief executive office has big dreams for delivery. Schultz believes Starbucks’ delivery will capture “smartphone-tethered” customers by bringing the brand to them. He believes having your favorite beverage, hot or iced, delivered to your desk daily is the Starbucks’ version of “e-commerce on steroids.”
Starbucks has not released much about logistics and details for their service. However, officials have said that they will handle the service internally rather than hire a third party. Schultz stated, “In 2013, payment purchases on all mobile devices in the U.S. totaled $1.3 billion. More than 90 percent of those purchases took place at a Starbucks.”
We should see delivery implemented towards the second half of 2015. If you’re a local Jupiter resident, make sure to check out the newest Starbucks location at Fisherman’s Warf. Click the following link for more information about Starbucks’ Delivery System.
