Enjoy sun, fun and being charitable in South Florida at 6th Annual Big Bad BBQ Bash on the water benefiting Special Olympics Florida on Saturday, September 7, 2019 in the heart of downtown Fort Lauderdale.

Special Olympics is the world's largest sports organization for children and adults with intellectual disabilities and physical disabilities.  They offer training assistance 365 days a year and hold competitions to 5 million athletes in 172 countries.   Special Olympics helps these amazing athletes by providing continuing opportunities to participate in beloved sports, derive happiness and demonstrate courage.

This year, the event is anticipated to be bigger and better than ever!   The event takes place at a new location in Esplanade Park, Fort Lauderdale with beautiful views of the New River. Last year, more than 700 attendees raised over $50,000 for the 6,500 athletes belonging to Special Olympics Florida.

Attendees will enjoy all-you-can-eat BBQ, drinks, live music, Water Taxi tours, raffles, local vendors, social networking, and meet Special Olympics athletes- all benefitting a great cause!  In addition to the 20 raffle tickets, VIP ticket holders will also appreciate a private seating area near the waterfront with upscale BBQ specialties from local favorite restaurants, all-you-can drink specialty beers, desserts.

Get involved and help the Special Olympics, established in 1968, create a “better world by fostering the acceptance and inclusion of all people”.  People with intellectual disabilities discover new strengths, abilities, and success through the power of athletics.  Won’t you please support the Special Olympics
