Waterfront Views & Fresh Florida Tastes at Stuart’s TideHouse
When we were told the same good people behind Guanabanas Restaurant in Jupiter were opening a new waterfront dining destination in Stuart, we had to venture north to check out their newest creation, TideHouse.
Arriving by boat, we were pleased to find quick and easy dockage at Harborage Marina and Yacht Club, with a depth of about 6-8’ throughout the entire marina making it a simple option for a larger boat as well. They offer a single floating dock on the west side of the main marina dock for anyone to use, as well as 3 first-come-first-serve boat slips.
TideHouse’s large dining area and island bar has a modern yet casual feel like a cross between a tiki bar and a yacht club, and overlooks the St. Lucie River from above, providing sweeping panoramic views. Facing southeast, the views span from the quaint village of Rio to the east all the way to the iconic Roosevelt Bridge to the west. The open layout floods the entire place with natural light and the cool ocean breeze, with optional indoor airconditioned areas as well.
TideHouse supports locals and provides the freshest seafood available by purchasing it from Florida fisherman, which gets them huge brownie points in my book. Their menu consists of an interesting American-fusion blend of dishes like Ahi Poke Nachos, Florida Lobster Poutine, the Nashville Hot Fish Sandwich, Pizza Pot Pie, and Macadamia Crusted Fresh Catch. Signature cocktails include Hutchinson Island Pink Lemonade and a Coconut Mojito.
While the food and drinks are delicious, the atmosphere and welcoming people here make this place more than a restaurant- it’s a destination!
