The Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach has added another fun and exciting event to their calendar every month. The new event is called Astronomy Night and is based on the activity in the nights sky.

Friday, January 12th, join the Marinelife Center to learn about the stars and the planets. The program will also feature information about the sky’s glow and pollution. The main goal of the event is to encourage visitors to learn and increase their awareness of the environment.

The event will start at 6 pm and last until 9 pm. The night starts off with a seminar led by the Astronomical Society of the Palm Beaches. In the seminar you will learn about current night sky activity and even get a change to look through high powered telescope and binoculars to see for yourself.

The cost for the event is $10 dollars for adults and $5 dollars for children.

To register and reserve your spot for the night, visit www.marinelife.org.

If you can make this one, there will be another Astronomy Night on Friday, February 9th.
