Long days at the beach are normal in Palm Beach County; the sun is always shining, the sand is white and soft, and the water is clear and refreshing. But the sun exposure and salty water can be harsh on the skin and hair. Luckily there are two great spas in the area that can restore the body and calm the mind.

Lighthouse Cove Adventure Golf in Jupiter will host a grand opening tomorrow at 11 a.m. to celebrate their $1 million expansion of its mini-golf course and restaurant.


One of the most highly anticipated changes to the 36-hole mini golf course is the experience at the 13th hole. Golfers will experience underwater sea sounds and find themselves immersed in a cave, which will lead them to a tank filled with tropical fish and a coral reef. Grouper and other new fish will be added in the coming weeks. There is now also a playground and pavilion on the course.


The new additions to the restaurant include more seating for up to 82 customers, a stylish bar with 15 TVs, and the 3,500-gallon saltwater fish tank. The menu also received an upgrade and

The 2017 housing market is shaping up to be opportune for both the buyer and the seller. Although mortgage interest rates are on the rise, it hasn’t deterred buyers from purchasing their next home.


Since the presidential election, interest rates have risen from 3.5 percent to 4.2 percent. According to research by the National Association of Realtors, supply and demand graphs show that even while interest rates have gone up, home sales are still increasing, meaning inventory is going down, which could be a motivating factor for people to sell their homes.


But why are people buying even though rates are going up?

The first ever Coastal Fest will be held this Saturday, April 1st from 1 p.m. – 6 p.m. at The Plaza Down Under on the Riverwalk in Jupiter. Enjoy the sound of reggae from “Fresh Catch,” a band based out of Stuart. There will be plenty of food and beer and local vendors to explore. There will also be festivities for the kids including face painting and mermaid and pirate characters. The event is free and so is parking.

This Saturday, March 25th, there will be a family fun beach cleanup at Stuart Beach from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.
There will be live music, free food, yoga, raffles, and activities for children.
The cleanup is hosted by Citizens for Clean Water (C4CW), a 501(c)(3) organization based out of Jensen Beach. They will be providing everyone with trash bags and gloves.
The cleanup is just in time for sea turtle nesting season and coincides with C4CW’s goal of achieving clean water.

The 9th annual Boating and Beach bash for People with Disabilities will be held this Saturday, March 18th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Spanish River Park in Boca Raton.

The event is for people with special needs, their families, and caregivers and aims to embrace the 20% of Florida residents who live with a physical/intellectual disability.

Guests of all ages are treated like VIPs as soon as they arrive. It is completely free including admission, parking, lunch, boat rides, concerts, and related activities.

The location has the beach on one side, the Intracoastal on the other, and grassy picnic areas, pavilions, walkways, and playgrounds in between.

Mobility mats will be rolled out in the sand so people with wheelchairs and prosthetics can

Geocaching is a fun outdoor activity for all ages. It’s a real-life treasure hunt using your GPS. Participants navigate a set of GPS coordinates to find the geocache (container) hidden in a specific location.

Here’s how it works:
Download the “Geocaching” app on your phone.
Once you sign up, the app will display all the hidden geocaches close to you.
Here’s an example what it looks like around the Stuart area. 


Click on the geocache that you want to find.

A hint will appear on your screen.

Click “start” and your navigation will take you to the coordinates of the geocache. 

Once you get there, use the hint to find exactly where the container is hidden.
When you find it, open it up and sign your name and date in the logbook.

The 3rd annual Rita Hayworth Luncheon will be held on Friday, March 10th, at the Colony Hotel in Palm Beach to raise money for patient care and research programs.

The event is co-hosted by Princess Yasmin Aga Khan, founder of the Alzheimer’s Association, and Carleton Varney, world renowned designer who remodeled the hotel and ballroom where the event will take place.

The Rita Hayworth Luncheon is named after Princess Yasmin Aga Khan’s mother who passed away from the disease. Rita Hayworth was a famous actor and dancer who married Prince Aly Khan, descendant of the Persian Qajar dynasty. While both have other children, Princess Yasmin Aga Khan is their daughter together.

Hayworth was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s at the age of 61 and
