The Boca Raton Museum Art School pursues various formal and informal structured events “intended to inspire and train the community in various traditional and experimental creative media techniques. Through the art of teaching, critique, demonstration, and discussion groups large and small, our faculty and students explore what creativity means through guided projects in various studio environments.”  The Boca Raton Museum Art School is located at 801 West Palmetto Park Road, in Boca Raton.

This Drawing Program offered by the Boca Museum of Art School is aimed at learning to draw proportionately and realistically using primary “sighting” methods including perspective. Apply the six divisions of light and composition through the power of direct observation. Advanced students will explore techniques using line and innovative mediums.

The instructor is Janet Onofrey. She moved to South Florida where the sunshine and gentle weather motioned her to paint, “in the open air,” en plein air. She has a master’s degree in painting which led to a residency in Provence, France, and time in Barcelona and Paris. She was awarded the South Florida Cultural Consortium Visual and Media Artist Fellowship judged for her extensive body of work.

The “Drawing Program” takes place at the Boca Museum of Art School in the Great Room on Tuesdays, between 9:00 am - 12:00 pm. The price of the program is $300.00 and is offered on the following dates:

January  3, 2023
