In a recent study by the National Association of Homebuilders, the following features in homes are the most wanted by various age groups.  Outcomes indicate that new buyers are insisting on the latest energy efficient and environmentally “smart home” features.

ENERGY STAR rated appliances are appliances certified by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (E.P.A.). In 1992, the E.P.A. announced ENERGY STAR ratings as a “voluntary labeling program designed to identify and encourage energy-efficient products to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.”  Across the generations, all new homeowners preferred and requested ENERGY STAR rated appliances.  Note other important features desired by homebuilder’s buyers.

The almost 279,000 square foot office building off of Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard that was once the top “business hub” in West Palm Beach has sold for $20.5 million.

The three building property was sold last week according to PRP Real Estate Investment to a Miami based owner. Crimson Peak LLC is a Miami based company and they have purchased the forum to potentially transform it from office buildings into a hotel.

The famous Forum building was built in the 1970’s when downtown West Palm Beach was much less developed and was in need of more office space. Forbes Magazine released its list of “Best Buy Cities: Where to Invest in Housing 2016” and Floridian cities have made the list.

Seven of the “sunshine state’s” metropolitan areas have made their name in the top 20 spots on this list.
