This Friday at 10:30am in Lake Park, the town is hosting a beautiful celebration for Arbor Day. Beginning in the morning locals from the community and students from different schools will come out to Flagler Boulevard to plant new trees. Tree City USA has donated the seedlings and students will graciously bring the soil to preserve the presence of our trees for future generations. The mayor, James Dubois, will commence the ceremony with some words about our trees and food and drinks will be available to all that want to partake. People from Stuart to Palm Beach Gardens will come out to plant new trees.

Three people died and more than 150 were injured after two explosions ripped toward the finish line of the Boston Marathon.  Reactions poured in from around the world today on the twin bombing in Boston:

World Autism Awareness DayEvery year on April 2nd hundreds of organizations from around the world take part in World Autism Awareness Day. Friends of MacArthur Beach State Park cordially invite you to meet Florida Hall of Fame landscape artist Jackie Brice.   Brice, a native Floridian, is an award winning professional artist who has been painting since 1967.  She was inducted into the 2012 Florida Artists Hall of Fame.  The Florida Artists Hall of Fame is the highest and most prestigious cultural honor bestowed upon an individual of the State of Florida.
