Food Truck Pow Wow

The favorite outdoor social, Food Truck Invasion is coming to Tequesta this Friday, January 5th starting at 5 p.m.

The public get-together is an outdoor picnic where all different kinds of food trucks prepare delicious and unique food cooked to order. It’s not fast food, it's gourmet cuisine!

Try comfort foods to exotic foods to sweets all from different chefs. Bring a chair or picnic blanket and savor the food and friendly atmosphere at this week's gathering. 

The trucks are coming to Constitution Park tomorrow from 5-9 p.m.

Don't miss out! These trucks won't be back around until April.

Flights Debuting January 8th

Skip I-95 traffic and take a plane ride overlooking the gorgeous Florida coast instead. Fly the Whale, a small commercial airline featuring small plane charter flights, is opening up a new service taking customers from Fort Pierce to Tallahassee and soon to the Bahamas. 

Starting January 8th, Fly the Whale will debut flights from the Treasure Coast International Airport on St. Lucie Boulevard. Flights will depart on Mondays at 8 a.m. and return at 4 p.m. On Thursdays flights leave at 3 p.m. and return at 5:30 p.m. The trip from Fort Pierce to Tallahassee will take 1 hour and 42 minutes... as opposed to about 5 and a half hours driving the interstate. Home Sales Are Rising in Palm Beach County

In October 2017, Americans purchased homes at the fastest pace in a decade- a 6.2% monthly increase nationally, and a 16% monthly increase in Palm Beach County, according to the Florida Realtors Association.

Why are people buying?

One contributing factor could be the result of the national interest rate on 30-year fixed mortgages continuing to drop. Last week mortgage rates dropped from 3.95% to 3.92% in comparison to 4.03% in 2016 (National Association of Realtors). Historically, lower mortgage rates have helped drive home sales and those looking to refinance the market.

Andrew "Red" Harris Reef Foundation - Reef Deployment - Jupiter

The Andrew “Red” Harris Reef Foundation is a Jupiter based foundation dedicated to enhancing the marine environment. Memories of Andrew “Red” Harris are of a promising, vibrant and loving young man. The native Jupiter resident loved his family and friends dearly, as well as fishing and diving in ocean waters. Tragically, Andrew was struck by a boat while saving a friend's life snorkeling June 8, 2014.
