The Town of Jupiter and the Village of Tequesta are nestled between Palm Beach Gardens and Stuart. Both areas cater to the outdoor style, as they wrap around the Loxahatchee River and Intracoastal Waterway, which provide incomparable views to residents. For this reason, water sports and boating are abundant. Jupiter and Tequesta also offer their share of championship golf courses and pristine beaches frequented often under consistently sunny skies.

On Monday, the PGA Tour Policy Board acknowledged and accepted the USGA’s ban on anchored putting. Rule 14-1b will take effect on January 1, 2016, the same day that both the USGA and R&A put the rule into effect as well.

anchored_putt_ban_776_02Under the new rule, golfers will no longer be allowed to “anchor” the putter to their bodies in any way. The longer putters will not be banned but once the new rule takes effect, they will not allowed to anchored on any part of the golfer’s body.

“In making its decision, the Policy Board recognized that there are still varying opinions among our membership, but ultimately concluded that while it is an important issue, a ban on anchored strokes would not fundamentally affect a strong presentation of our competitions or the overall success…

Just south of Jupiter, in the ultrachic enclave of Palm Beach, self-proclaimed “King of All Media” Howard Stern may have picked up a lavish beach house. The radio broadcaster and America’s Got Talent judge has been reportedly searching for a home in the area.

According to Palm Beach County records, the property has been purchased through a trust.  The deed does not indicate the identity of the new owner (speculated to be Stern), who paid $52 million on May 15, 2013.   There is no mortgage recorded for the purchase.

The 19,000 square foot beachfront mansion boasts 5 bedrooms, 12.5 baths, and an outdoor swimming pool just steps from the ocean.  Aerial shots of the property reveal manicured grounds, secure wall and gated entry.…

When the fourth quarter started last night the Miami Heat found themselves in a spot that they were seldom in during the regular season but had come all too familiar with in the post season: down and pressing.

Down 3-2 in the series and entering the fourth quarter down ten points, Lebron James had 12 minutes left to make sure the San Antonio Spurs did not celebrate on the floor of the American Airlines Arena.  Dwayne Wade had 12 minutes left to stage a comeback and force a game seven. And, Chris Bosh had 12 minutes left to save their season.

They had battled all year to defend their trophy. 82 games in the regular season, another 15 games in the postseason, and thanks to some late game heroics at the end of regulation and overtime they will have one…

Those with memberships will be able to take advantage of reciprocity partnerships set up with other golf communities in Palm Beach County.

The course originally was designed in…
