Disney's "Newsies The Musical" Coming to the Maltz Jupiter Theatre
Disney’s Newsies The Musical, is the second upcoming musical heading to the Maltz Theatre in Jupiter this production season.
The family-friendly musical is set to take over the stage November 28th through December 17th, 2017.
Newsies The Musical is based on a real-life 1899 New York paperboy strike. The musical tells the story of a young boy Jack Kelly, who struggles to survive by buying newspapers from the publishers to then sell the newspapers to the public in order to make a living. But with the rising costs of the publishing’s, the teenage newsboys, most of them orphans, gather together to take on the head publishers and put an end to the rising costs of the papers. Otherwise the papers would not get sold with the help of the newsboys in the first place. The young boys strike and quickly begin to give up when things don’t go as planned, but they soon realize that the strike must be turned into a larger struggle with more people behind them to fight for their rights and to put an end to the rising newspaper costs.
The Tony-Award winning musical brings a high energy performance of song and dance to tell the story perfectly for you and your family this upcoming holiday season. The musical features hits like “The World Will Know”, “Seize The Day”, “Something To Believe In”, “Carrying The Banner”, and more.
